The Master's Notebook and Guide to Video Security Systems
A webinar series dedicated to bringing uniformity and profitability to VSS
Event #7: The Math of CCTV
November 1, 2016 / 1pm-2pm EST
This webinar is developed for everyone involved with the industry of CCTV including the end user / security director. Throughout history, it has been the mathematicians (architects and engineers) that have had the upper hand in design of everything because of their command of mathematics. However, there is nothing complicated about using simple math to save money, improve accuracy, and project or predict results. This webinar will concentrate on those things that are often missed, lost, or just not noticed including how to cut the cost of the average service contract by two to twenty times what is currently being paid.
Choosing the proper lens to capture exactly what you need is not a guessing game … it is simple math. Knowing how much traffic or bandwidth you can expect on a network at peak operational mode is about math as well. Properly providing power to edge devices is math. Saving money at every turn of a project is math. Effective estimates, regardless of the producer are supported with math. Projecting the actual costs and needs of a service contract is a mathematic solution. Yes, there are multiple tools available for many of these equations, but understanding the basis of the calculators and then how to apply the results to your design, response, and/or project is where understanding the Math of CCTV really comes into play. All individuals, regardless of title or status, that have a hand in developing, installing, servicing or buying and using a CCTV system (regardless of Analog or IP status), should have an understanding of the math involved in creating a successful, profitable, and user-friendly product.
This session, although unable to comprehensively cover all points within a system from a mathematical perspective, will highlight the most important elements within every CCTV solution design. It is designed for everyone including the end user / security director. Knowing the math involved with your system structure will help you know what to expect from a final product and/or help you figure out why your final product is not producing what you thought or were told you would see.
This is a live webinar event. You will receive confirmation and login information for the webinar within one business day of your order. Space is limited and seats are available on a first come, first served basis.
