Event #4: Staying Profitable – Avoiding Job / Project Creep
October 11, 2016 / 1pm-2pm EST
The objective of this session is to review the various steps of every job or project starting from the initial conception to the final sign off. As each individual process is discussed, examples of potential or real project creep will be discussed. Solutions to prevent creep will also be brought into the discussion. Every individual that is involved in a project can gain perspective of how he/she can be responsible for keeping a project on track and more importantly keeping the project accurate and profitable for both the contractor and the client.
Project creep is defined by scheduling, communication and a strong understanding of the processes involved in bringing a project from conception to its final operational standard. Although the majority of counteracting or preventing project creep will fall into the hands of the project manager, every individual that is involved with a project is also very capable of preventing delays, costly errors, omissions and loss of profits. If you have ever been involved with a job, large or small, that never seemed to come to an end or ran into countless delays that were caused by others, you have been a victim of project creep. Sooner or later, every individual involved in the process of development will witness and/or bear the burden caused by project creep. The key is how you handle it when it comes up and what you could have or did do to prevent it. That is what this webinar is all about. Recognition, prevention and response.
This is a live webinar event. You will receive confirmation and login information for the webinar within one business day of your order. Space is limited and seats are available on a first come, first served basis.
