This module focuses on NFPA 72: The National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code, which governs the installation of Automatic Fire Alarm Systems.

We will be looking at the 2010 Edition of NFPA 72, which includes major changes in the scope and organization of the document.

When you complete this course, you should be able to do the following:
  • Understand key terms and phrases contained in NFPA 72.
  • Navigate through NFPA 72 using chapter and layout notations.
  • Identify key chapters which were added to the 2010 edition of NFPA 72.
