In Module 7 we looked at the types of software programs used to program Video Surveillance Systems, including software used for interface delivery and video analytics.

In this module, we will be looking at the strategies used to integrate IP Video Surveillance Systems with other enterprise systems, including methods used for access control, fire detection, and intrusion detection.

After completing this module, you should be able to:
  • Describe the advantages of integrating IP Video Surveillance Systems with other Life Safety Systems.
  • Compare the major methods used to achieve system integration.
  • Explain some of the major advantages and strategies to use to optimize reporting and event notifications between Life Safety Systems.
